New Delhi: India’s total score of COVID-19 cases exceeded the 2-point mark with 3.57 229 infections reported within a day, while the death toll rose to 2,222,408 with 3,449 new deaths, according to data from the union’s health ministry, which was updated on Tuesday.
The total score of COVID-19 cases in the country climbed to 2,02,82,833.
With a steady increase, the active cases increased to 34,47,133, representing 17 percent of the total infections, while the national COVID-19 The recovery rate was recorded at 81.91 percent, the data was updated at 08:00.
The number of people recovering from the disease rose to 1,66,13,292, while the death rate was recorded at 1.10 percent.
India’s COVID-19 crossed the 20-lakh mark on 7 August, 30 lakh on 23 August, 40 lakh on 5 September and 50 lakh on 16 September. It passed 60 lakh on 28 September, 70 lakh on 11 October, 80 lakh on 29 October, 90 lakh on 20 November and surpassed the one-point mark on 19 December. India surpassed the grim 1.50 crore milestone on 19 April.
According to the ICMR, 29,33,10,779 samples were tested until May 3 with 16,63,742 samples tested on Monday.
