He was mentally ill which was part of his brilliance as a songwriter and lyricist.
He was a disturbed person and he fell down in a hole and couldn't find a way to climb back out.
I think he felt ugly because he couldn't surpass these feelings and resorted to drug use which increased his self loathing.I have sampled every language and French is my favorite to curse in.

Yeah I think what was ugly to him was his mental disorders and addictions. He confused those with himself. He was looking at the ugliness of his mind and actions. He was not able to see past that to his real self which was beautiful. Both inside and out.Originally Posted by Merovingian11
