Volvo India has announced a price hike ranging from Rs 1 lakh all the way up to Rs 2 lakh across its entire range, except for the recently launched third-gen S60 sedan. The luxury car brand has cited rising input costs and weakening of the Indian currency as the reason for the hike. It has also hinted at another hike later this year. Volvo’s flagship sedan is now dearer by Rs 2 lakh.
Among SUVs, the XC40’s price has been increased by Rs 1.35 lakh, while the XC60 and XC90 see a hike of Rs 1 lakh.
The XC90 T8 Excellence variant sees no price change.
It must be noted that along with the Swedish carmaker, Honda, Ford, Hyundai, and Maruti Suzuki have also hiked prices across their entire lineup.
