South star Sundeep Kishan has pledged to support children who have lost their families due to coronavirus . In a social media post, the actor announced that he will be taking care of the food and education of such children for the next couple of years. He urged his fans to connect him with those who lost their parents recently and share the details with his team.

Fans hailed this move and have already started sharing details of children orphaned by COVID-19 .

Actor Aadarsh Balakrishna praised Kishan and wrote,” You have my heart brother”.

The Maanagaram actor will next be seen in Gully Rowdy, directed by Nageswara Reddy. The film also features Neha Shetty and Bobby Simha in crucial roles. He is also producing Vivaha Bhojanambu featuring Satya in the lead.

Apart from Sundeep, Shruti Haasan has also come forward to support children in these difficult times. Taking to Instagram, she shared a child helpline number and urged fans to dial 1098 if they are aware of children who have lost their parents due to COVID-19 . She also emphasised on safe surrender of kids to the right authorities and following all legal protocols while adopting such kids.

Earlier, Sonu Sood had appealed to the government to make education free for children who have lost their parents to the pandemic.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas supported Sonu’s demand and called him a visionary philanthropist. She wrote, “Sonu’s suggestion is to both the state and central governments to ensure free education for all children affected by Covid. Whatever stage of studies they are at—school, college, or pursuing higher studies. The aim is not to allow a pause and definitely not for the lack of finance. If ignored, a huge number of children would be left without the opportunity as adults”.

In the post, Chopra added that she will actively work towards finding ways to support education
