Though he is a popular artist in movies, he never demanded for huge remunerations from producers. However, he used to demand at least one rupee more than what ntr and anr used to take.

He is also very good at hunting. He used to go hunting every month. He was accompanied by his actor friend shivaji Ganeshan. He used to have a gun with him, which used to be quite heavy. He once went to the police commissioner to renew the license of the revolver.

The commissioner was said to have applauded him for maintaining the gun so well. He also called the staff present over there and asked them to learn how to keep the weapons clean by looking at the gun.
