In an Instagram video, nutritionist Kinita Kadakia Patel has recently explained that Shirataki rice is good for weight watchers and diabetics. It is made from glucomannan, a type of fibre, also known as konjac flour. This comes from the root of the konjac plant, usually grown in Japan, China and Southeast Asia. According to experts, glucomannan is helpful in weight loss and due to its low glycemic index this rice is perfect for diabetic people too.
