Kotak Life has appointed Mahesh Balasubramanian as the Managing Director and CEO of Kotak Life.
Balasubramanian joined Kotak Mahindra Bank in 2005 as the Senior Executive VP before becoming the MD and CEO of Kotak Mahindra General Insurance in 2014. Now, Balasubramanian will be taking the baton from Murlidhar Gangadharan who served as MD and CEO since 2011. Kotak Life for two decades. Meanwhile, Suresh Agarwal has been elevated to the post of MD & CEO of Kotak General Insurance.
The company announced the news in a regulatory filing following the approval from the Insurance Regulatory Development Authority of India for the appointment of Balasubramanian. The latter is a veteran in the financial services industry with his professional experience spanning across Retails Assets, Retail Liabilities & Insurance.
