Can one person truly make a difference? (srs)

Share positive (or negative) stories of that one person that made a difference in your life or in general. The more random the person the better, as in yeah family will always make a difference on your life like it or not.

I had a college professor change my life. ded fkn srs.

I decided to take a physics class in community college because I needed a science and liked game programming and had done a lot of 2d physics stuff.

Was going for a business degree because I thought I sucked at math(got a D in precalc)

He took a lot of time and showed me that I actually had a gift for math. I ended up changing over to computer science and graduated from a public ivy.

It completely changed my life's trajectory.

Had he not shown an interest in helping, I would not be where I am today. No doubt. He passed away some time ago, but man if there is one person I wish I could go back and thank, it would be him.

dam brah, that is an very heart warming story. I'm assuming you never went back there after you graduated. I'm sure that man would be very proud of you now, and it sounded like he had the mentality to help as many people as he can. You can pay it forward brah by helping others get into computer science and teaching them what you know. Glad to hear there are good people out there still
