Elderly woman robbed of gold chain in Pune

PUNE: An unknown man snatched gold chain worth Rs 60,000 of an elderly woman at Rahatani and drove away with his two accomplices on Monday evening.
The 65-year-old woman lodged an FIR with the Wakad police late in the night.
The woman said, "Recently, I had met with an accident. The doctor has advised me to walk with a support. Every evening I take a walk on the service road at Rahatani."
The woman said that on Monday around 6.45pm, she noticed a white-coloured scooter at some distance.
"There were three men driving on it. One of them got down and walked toward me. He all of a sudden snatched my gold chain and ran towards the scooter. The trio drove away," she said.
"It was not possible for me to run behind the scooter. I went home and later in the night filed a complaint," the woman said.
An officer from the Pimpri Chinchwad crime branch said, "We have collected CCTV footages from the spot. We are working on some clues."
