Vijyanagara, May 4 (UNI) Four people were killed when lightning struck them at various places in Kodagili taluk in the district on Tuesday.
Police said that the deceased have been identified as Chennapuri(40) and Veeranna(50). The incident occurred when they were grazing cattle in the field.
In another incident, Rajashekar (33), former Gram Panchayat member of Jarmahalli from Haravadahalli, died when he was returning from his land, while another person who accompanied injured.
In the third incident, Patreppa from Ayyaianahalli village was closing shutters of his grocery shop when lightning struck him.
