As someone who knows some folks / heard of people learning and implementing AGILE... yeah I have to agree. Seems so dumb. People waste so much time talking about it, thinking about it, changing processes/procedures to implement it, but at the end of the day there's only 8 hours a shift and Bob can't write his code faster, nor can Dan excavate a mine faster than what they would be able to do before lol. Seems like the hours spent talking about AGILE is a waste, and can in itself slow down productivity for the year LOL.

It's a lot of money behind theory, teaching it, talking about it etc. While in practice it's much simpler to implement.

Lots of good aspects of it that good places will take away and make their own methodology with but yeah working in a place that strictly adheres to an agile methodology like it's a ****ing religion is a little annoying.

We have daily 30 minute scrums and I think it does help by holding people accountable.
