Benelli has revealed a new electric scooter for the Asian markets. It is called the Dong.
The Benelli Dong is a funky looking electric scooter. This tiny city runabout has a full-LED headlamp and a circular LCD instrument cluster. It is also equipped with speakers that produce sounds if various IC-engined motorcycles.
The Dong uses a 1.2 kW electric motor that is powered by a 1.56 kWh removable battery pack. The scooter has a claimed top speed of 45 km/h and covers 60 km on a single charge.
Benelli already offers a range of motorcycles in India. Whether it will bring the Dong to India remains to be seen.
