Maharashtra: Active Covid-19 cases drop below 10,000 in Kalyan-Dombivli

Kalyan-Dombivli reported 498 new coronavirus cases and nine deaths on Monday while 1,520 patients recovered from the infection.
KALYAN: The number of active Covid-19 patients in Kalyan-Dombivli region in Thane district dropped below 10,000 on Monday due to decrease in new cases and good recovery rate in the past 10 days.
The region reported 498 new coronavirus cases and nine deaths on Monday while 1,520 patients recovered from the infection.
The region now has 9,931 active coronavirus patients.
The positivity rate in the twin city has also come down to 14% from 25%.
Dr Pratibha Panpatil, health officer of Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation said, "The situation in the twin city is under some control as now we have availability of oxygen as well as ICU beds in many hospitals while there is still shortage of ventilator beds."
