Nirmal: Forest Minister Indrakaran Reddy on Monday instructed the officials concerned to provide the best quality services Covid-19 patients. He visited the hospital in the district’s headquarters and examined the medical services offered here on Monday.
Indrakaran assured patients that better healthcare services would be created at the facility. He examined different wings. Later, at a review meeting held in Collectorate, he asked the authorities of the medical and health department to ensure that patients receive a better quality of service. He urged citizens over the age of 45 to undergo vaccination against the virus.
Officials told the minister that the drugs and oxygen were in place. He was accompanied by Nirmal municipal chairman G Eshwar and collector Musharraf Ali Faruqui. Additional collector Hemanth Borkhade, DMHO Dr Dhanraj, medical superintendent Dr Devender Reddy and municipal commissioner Balakrishna were present.
Indrakaran Reddy attended another meeting and said steps were being taken to develop the city of Nirmal in many areas. He examined beautification works taken up from Shivaji Chowk after the crossing of Ambedkar. He said the region is undergoing a switchover at an estimated cost of 5.50 million.
Later, the minister convenes a review meeting on the acquisition of paddy. He said 100 centers out of a total of 196 were in operation. He stated that 9 279 tons of paddy had already been purchased and that 10 lakh bags had been kept available. He instructed the officials concerned to make alternative arrangements to prevent inconvenience if the procurement is interrupted by irregular rains.
