What type of engineering? I had the same thought but ended up basically being a civil project manager and having to deal with a bunch of fukking people all the time lol. It's tangential to tech, but I know a trader who makes a living just on rare Earth metal ETFs. These are companies that mine and process the rare metals needed for advanced electronics. Has done really well in that niche.

i dont really day trade personally buy 1-2 times a month i will take a big position in the e mini S&p futures. i only trade in very high conviction situations and when i do i lever up and bet big.
4-5 big wins on top of your long term holds appreciating and thats huge for your long term returns on capital.
