Stalin did a commendable job in keeping fascist forces away, leaders of DMK alliance parties say

CHENNAI: Leaders of alliance parties called on DMK chief M K Stalin at party headquarters Anna Arivalayam to greet him for taking the coalition to a comfortable win in the Tamil Nadu assembly election. The alliance won 159 constituencies.
MDMK general secretary Vaiko, state CPM secretary K Balakrishnan, state CPI secretary G Ramakrishnan and VCK leader Thol Thirumavalavan reached DMK headquarters and congratulated Stalin. After the meeting, the leaders told reporters that the DMK leader, who is going to take oath as the next chief minister of the state on May 7, assured to fulfil the poll promises and work for the development of the state.
Thirumavalavan said the DMK leader had done a commendable job in keeping the fascist forces away from power. Vaiko and other leaders also shared the same views.
Stalin thanked the leaders. “Heartfelt thanks for wishes. Extend support to the new government’s efforts aimed at the state’s development and ensure its rights,” Stalin tweeted. Stalin has also thanked BJP state president L Murugan for wishing him.
Stalin visited his mother Dayalu Ammal at her Gopalapuram residence. He also visited one of the neighbours there. The neighbours recalled Stalin’s childhood days and expressed happiness to see his rise.
