IPL 2021 Orange Cap: DC’s Shikhar Dhawan takes Orange Cap lead back from Rahul, Mayank Agarwal back in Top 6- Delhi Capitals’ Shikhar Dhawan took the Orange Cap lead back from PBKS’ KL Rahul with unbeaten 69 against PBKS on Sunday. Punjab Kings’ acting captain Mayank Agarwal slammed unbeaten 99 against Delhi Capitals to move into Top 6 of the IPL 2021 Orange Cap race. Earlier in the day, Rajasthan Royals opening batsman Jose Buttler has entered the top 10 race in Orange Cap table. He smashed the IPL 2021 highest individual score against SRH to jump to the Orange table leaderboard. He struck 124 runs off 64 balls with the help of 11 fours and 8 sixes.
Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson has jumped to 4th spot in the Orange Cap leaderboard after 48 runs off 33 balls against SRH at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Sunday. He has also completed 250 runs in the IPL 2021.
Earlier, CSK’s Faf du Plessis slammed the fourth consecutive half-century to re-enter Top 2 of IPL 2021 Orange Cap race. On Saturday, he scored 50 off 28 balls to set the stage for a big score. His teammate Moeen Ali also entered the Top 10 with a 50. MI’s Rohit Sharma also moved back to Top 5 while Punjab Kings captain KL Rahul took the Orange Cap lead back from Shikhar Dhawan with an unbeaten 91 against RCB on Friday.
Delhi Capitals opener Shikhar Dhawan is currently 2nd on the list of IPL 2021 Orange Cap race with 311 runs while Rahul has 330. CSK’s Faf du Plessis is placed 3rd on the list with 270 runs.

Rules for IPL 2021 Orange Cap
- The award is given to the leading run-scorer of the IPL season.
- The batsman with the most runs in the tournament during the season would wear the Orange Cap while in the field.
- In case of a tie, the batsman with a better strike rate is awarded the Orange Cap.
- The Orange Cap owner who is fielding is allowed to wear the Orange Cap till the end of the innings even if an opposition batsman has overtaken his runs.
