Tourism leaders all over the Highlands are maneuverings are all set to resolve the industry problems and bring it back on track after the pandemic.
They say that they want to make sure that the visitors to the region have “fantastic experiences”, while creating a balance with the aim of the expectation of the communities’ and the urge to think about the landscape.
The recovery attempt is being headed by the Highland Tourism Partnership, whose priorities include “delivering a world-class customer experience” and showcasing the region as a destination tailor-made for responsible tourism. Also, there is a target on skills and collaboration.
The partnership is attracting destination organizations and public sector partners from all over the Highlands like North Coast 500 Ltd, VisitScotland, NatureScot, Highland Council, Wester Ross Tourism, Venture North, Visit Inverness Loch Ness, Cairngorms Business Partnership, Visit Moray Speyside, SkyeConnect and Lochaber Outdoor Capital of the UK.
To quote chairman Frazer Coupland, from Lochaber, “The Highland Tourism Partnership has reconvened with a very clear intention. We want to make sure that visitors to the Highlands have fantastic experiences, while also making sure that we balance that with community expectation and care for our iconic Highland location.”
The HTP represents over 2000 Highland businesses from all sectors associated with tourism like the hotels, B&Bs, visitor attractions, guided tours and food-and-drink providers.
To quote Tom Campbell, executive chairman of North Coast 500 Ltd, “I’m delighted that the Highland Tourism Partnership is demonstrating the strength of activity across all areas of the Highlands to attract visitors who are critically important to the economy, sustainability and growth of communities.”
