BEST re-introduces amnesty scheme for Mumbai power consumers
A BEST spokesperson said that the scheme has been extended for further 18 months for such customers.
MUMBAI : The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport Undertaking (BEST) has announced an amnesty scheme for electricity consumers in Mumbai whose meters were removed for non-payment of electricity bills up to 2015.
"BEST had previously introduced similar amnesty schemes for these consumers in 2018 and 2019. Now it has been extended for further 18 months for the benefit of consumers who were not able to pay their dues in the past," BEST spokesperson Manoj Varade said.
