Covid surge: Vande Bharat flight to and from Malaysia temporarily suspended

NEW DELHI: Vande Bharat Mission (VBM) flights to and from Malaysia have been temporarily suspended following it imposed travel restrictions for India.
Air India Express tweeted on Sunday, “As per latest notification from the Malaysian government, flights to/from Kuala Lumpur are temporarily suspended till further notice.”

The high commission of India in Kuala Lumpur had tweeted on Tuesday (April 27): “Consequent to Government of Malaysia's decision to impose temporary travel restrictions to and from India, VBM flights would be suspended till further notice. Updates, as received from (Malaysian) government will be disseminated periodically.”

So far almost 20 countries like USA, Canada, UK, Germany, UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia have in last 10 days imposed restrictions like flight suspensions from India or implemented stricter entry norms for travellers from here.
