Leakage of toxic gas creates panic in Bhiwandi, no one affected

BHIWANDI: Leakage of sulfur dioxide created panic in Chikanipada area of Bhiwandi on Saturday late night. The leakage was reported from two cylinders kept at an isolated place.
Fire brigade and local police reached the spot and are trying to fix the leakage with the help of experts.
Fire officials said since the area is isolated, no one was affected.
Experts said sulfur dioxide gas irritates the skin and mucous membranes of the eyes, nose, throat and lungs.
