Kangana Ranaut has this to say about Vidya Balan’s The Dirty Picture
The Dirty Picture was a 2011 released biopic, based on the life of an adult star who becomes an overnight sensation and comes to be known as ‘Silk’, her success and fame begin to change her.
Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut has revealed that she had turned The Dirty Picture down before Vidya Balan was offered the lead role in it. Vidya Balan’s role in The Dirty Picture was of an adult movie star and Kangana was first approached by the makers before Vidya.
In an interview with a news portal, Kangana was asked about any regrets she had on turning down a movie, the actress revealed that though she had turned down The Dirty Picture, she still had no regrets. She further added that she could’nt stand Vidya Balan’s ‘terrific’ performance. Kangana added, “Not really. But I think The Dirty Picture, just like I always said, turned out to be so wonderful! But I don’t think I would have done it better than Vidya Balan because she was terrific in that. But yes, sometimes I feel that I didn’t see the potential in that film.”
