Nizamabad: When the cases of Remdesivir injection filled with glucose water came to light and the subsequent police action against those involved, the officials of the General Health Department took action.
Not only the district level but also the state level team reached Nizamabad to investigate the hospitals.
An application team from Hyderabad led by Prabhakar Reddy, Inspector of the Enforcement Circle, reached Nizamabad and examined three private hospitals.
The team consisting of Circuit Inspector Prabhakar Reddy, District Enforcement Inspector Hema Lata and DMHO Bala Narinder obtained details about the patients, their numbers and the stock available from the injection.
Furthermore, the municipal commissioner of Ravi Babu, on behalf of the district collector of Nizamabad, visited five hospitals to get information about the patients and review the stock of Remdesivir injection.
The district administration has set up a enforcement committee to review the unethical practices and excessive costs of private hospitals.
The team under the supervision of District Service Officer Srinivas has Assistant Director Drug Control Rajiya Laxmi, Drug Inspector Hema Lata and AD Parveen as other members of the committee.
This task force committee must monitor the behavior of the private hospitals to stop their flight and too much cost.
