A day after India's daily Covid cases crossed the grim four lakh mark for the first time, the country recorded 3,689 deaths — the highest toll reported in a single day so far. In the last 24 hours, 3.92 lakh new cases have been reported. The Odisha government announced a 14-day lockdown in the state on Sunday, lasting from May 5 to May 19.
