Thane: 5 injured as gas leak triggers explosion

KALYAN: Five people on Saturday suffered minor burn injuries after a gas leak led to the cylinder exploding at a flat in a building in Thane's Badlapur area.
The injured includes Nilesh Tayde, his wife, their two children and a mechanic.
The incident happened at around 10.30pm on Saturday.
Tayde family residing on the seventh floor of the Jai Heights building called up private gas mechanic Gupta.
Fire official further said when Gupta reached the flat same time explosion took place from the cylinder which spread in the flat injuring people.
Fire official said that the conditions of the injured were stable.
