Kia Motor entered Indian market, a few years ago and their first product, Seltos quickly became popular among buyers for several reasons. Kia Seltos is a mid size SUV and competes with the likes of Hyundai Creta, MG Hector and many other SUVs in the segment. It is still one of the most popular mid-size SUVs in the segment and is offered with variety of engine and transmission options. In the market, several accessories and modification options are now available for Kia Seltos and we have even seen some of them on the internet and our website. Here we have a Kia Seltos SUV that has been neatly modified by wrapping it in matte black wrap.

The video has been uploaded by Technical bhopal on their YouTube channel. The vlogger basically shows the whole process and material used during the wrapping process. The original colour of this Kia Seltos was white and it had minor scratches on the body panels at places. This would affect the final look of the car after wrap. So, before wrapping, they correct all such scratches and if it has dent, they put body filler and sand it to give it an even finish. After this, clear coat is sprayed on the car before pasting the wrap to have a glossy surface that does not reflect the small scratches or dents.

Once that is done, they start with wrapping process. The matte black wrap is actually cut into pieces to wrap panels. Once the wrap is placed, it is stretched using a heat gun to shape it according to the design of the vehicle. In the case of this Kia Seltos, the front and rear bumper were removed and were painted in matte black finish. Similarly, the chrome elements on the front grille got a matte black wrap. the lower chrome grille was painted in black. Chrome on the lower window line, C pillar and door handles were all retained.

The wrap had completely changed the overall look of the Seltos. The SUV looks a lot more aggressive with this new wrap job. The end of the wrap that has been folded inside have all been sealed properly so that they don’t come off easily. Even the roof on this Kia Seltos has been wrapped in black.

As this was a higher trim, it was decently equipped on the inside and no changes were made to the interior of the car. Apart from this, the grey coloured alloy wheels on the Kia Seltos were also painted in matte black finish to get an even look. The work done on the car looks pretty neat. Coming to Kia Seltos, it is available with variety of engine and transmission options. There is a 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine that comes with manual and IVT or CVT gearbox options. There is a 1.5 litre turbocharged diesel engine that comes with manual and a torque converter automatic gearbox option. The last engine option on offer is the 1.4 litre turbo petrol engine which comes with manual and 7-speed DCT gearbox.
