Suvendu Adhikari leading by 8206 votes against Mamata Banerjee

Kolkata, May 2 (UNI) After two rounds of counting in Nandigram seat, BJP candidate Suvendu Adhikari is leading over Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee with 8206 votes.

BJP is leading in six out of 10 seats in North Bengal while the ruling Trinamool is ahead in four. North Bengal has been a stronghold of the saffron party since the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

TMC’s Arup Biswas is leading in Tollygunge seat against Union Minister and Asansol MP Babul Supriyo with a margin of 9896 votes.

TMC’s Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay is leading in Bhabanipur seat with a margin of 2200 votes.

TMC’s Becharam Manna is leading in Singur seat with a margin of 4466 votes against BJP MP Locket Chatterjee.

TMC’s Firhad Hakim is leading in Kolkata Port with margin of 6,300 votes,

Among the prominent candidates, CPIM candidate Ashok Bhattacharya is trailing from Siliguri, Ashok Lahiri of the BJP is leading from South Dinajpur, CPIM Md Salim is trailing from Chanditala, Goutam Deb of the TMC is trailing in Dabgram-Fulbari, Siddiqullah Chowdhury of the TMC is trailing in Monteswar and Samik Bhattacharya of the BJP is leading in Rajarhat-Gopalpur.

In Chanditala seat in West Bengal, actor Yash Dasgupta is so far trailing by 499 votes, according to the Election Commission website. TMC's Swati Khandoker is leading on the seat.
