The ruling trs party candidate Nomula Bhagat on sunday established a lead in early trends in the Nagarajuna Sagar by poll held on april 17. Bhagat is leading by 2,118 votes over his nearest congress rival K jana reddy after the second round of vote- counting, according to the election Commission. The bjp which has shocked the trs with Dubbaka by-elections failed miserably to win this time. The bjp is limited to only 6 to 7 percent of votes in the Sagar by-elections.
       Nagarjuna Sagar assembly constituency is a constituency of the telangana Legislative assembly, India. It is one of 12 constituencies in the nalgonda district. It is part of nalgonda lok sabha constituency.The seat is currently vacant after Nomula Narsimhaiah, who represented it from 2018 died in december 2020 for which by elections was conducted. After 12th round of counting,TRS candidate Nomula Bhagat is leading with 10,361 votes and former minister and senior congress leader K jana reddy is trailing.
