SER RUNNING OXYGEN EXPRESS TRAINS IN MISSION MODE

Kolkata, May 01 (UNI) South Eastern Railway (SER) is ensuring uninterrupted running of Oxygen Express Trains from its jurisdiction to transport Liquid Medical Oxygen to meet the medical emergencies.

Two more Oxygen Express trains left Bokaro Steel City station on Friday (30.04.21) evening and today afternoon towards Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Another Oxygen Express train left Bokaro Steel City station today towards Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. The two trains towards Lucknow carried a total 66.87 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen. The train towards Jabalpur carried 22.19 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen.

Running of Oxygen Express Trains by SER started from April 23 and a total 548.44 tonnes of Liquid Medical Oxygen has been despatched by SER through 12 Oxygen Express Trains run so far. The trains have been run from Bokaro Steel City and Rourkela towards Lucknow, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Sagar and Faridabad.

SER is relentlessly working for saving innumerable lives and the concerned employees are engaged round the clock to facilitate movement of the Oxygen Express Trains, said the SER authority. SER is fully prepared to run more Oxygen Express Trains as per requests of the State Governments, the authority stated.
