May 1—SHAMOKIN — A Shamokin man faces 100 felony counts of child pornography and is jailed on $25,000 cash after being arrested by state police Friday.

John Jurevicz, 55, was arraigned in front of Shamokin District Judge John Gembic and sent to Northumberland County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash bail after state troopers issued a search warrant at the man's home Friday, according to police.

When troopers arrived they say they met with a woman and asked about the child pornography files to which she said she didn't know what police were talking about, according to troopers.

The woman showed them Jurevicz's computer, troopers conducted an examination on the machine and child pornography files were discovered, troopers said.

Troopers then visited Jurevicz at his place of employment and say Jurevicz told them he made a mistake by looking at the pictures and he deleted them, troopers said. When asked how many pictures he saw, Jurevicz said 100, police said.
