Actor Bikramjeet Kanwarpal dies due to COVID-19; Bollywood celebs express grief

It breaks our heart to bring to you yet another sad news from the world of entertainment. Actor Bikramjeet Kanwarpal recently passed away from COVID-19 complications. He was 52. He was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai where he took his last breath. He was a retired army officer who played supporting roles in many films and television serials. The late actor was last seen in a web series also starring Kay Kay Menon and Saiyami Kher which was released in 2020. Many from the film fraternity and TV industry have taken to their respective social media handles to mourn his passing. Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh took to his Twitter handle and wrote, 'Extremely sad news . I’ve known Major Bikramjeet for so many years. He and I have worked on so many films together. The last being Bypass Road. Such a fantastic, encouraging and energetic human being he was and will always be remembered as. #RIP My dear friend will miss you.' Manoj Bajpayee, expressing his shock over Bikramjeet's demise wrote, 'Oh my god!!! What a sad news !!! We knew each other for 14 yrs since the making of 1971 ! REST IN PEACE MAJOR !!! So Shocking.' Sharing a picture of Bikramjeet, Rohit Bose Roy tweeted, 'And we lose another one... The happiest, most gentlemanly, always positive and smiling Major Bikramjeet... RIP.' Vikram Bhatt who had worked with him in several of his films, wrote, 'Major Bikramjeet Kanwarpal passes away. Taken from us by the cruel pandemic. I have done a lot of films with him and this doesn't get closer home. The days are turning into one long obituary and yet each life that we lose cannot be just a number. We cannot allow it to become a number. Each a special friend. May his soul rest in peace.' Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit, expressing his grief, tweeted, 'Sad to hear about the demise of actor Major Bikramjeet Kanwarpal this morning due to #Covid. A retired army officer, Kanwarpal had played supporting roles in many films and television serials. Heartfelt condolences to his family & near ones.' His fans, too, mourning his death, took to his Instagram account to pray for the departed actor. The late actor made his Bollywood debut in 2003 after retiring from the Indian Army. He was a part of several hit films, including ‘Page 3’, ‘Aarakshan’, ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’, among several others.
