A promo of tonight’s match is broadcast in which Roman Reigns will put the Universal Championship at stake against Daniel Bryan, who if he loses will leave Smackdown forever.
Smackdown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair makes her entrance. Bianca introduces herself as the brand’s champion and welcomes but is interrupted by Smackdown Tag Team champions Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. Both present themselves as the best team in the tag team division but Street Profits interrupt them.
Ford says Ziggle and Roode have interrupted the winner of this year’s Wrestlemania main event. Finally, Bayley makes her entrance. Once in the ring, she takes the microphone from Bianca and begins to laugh until the champion slaps her and Bayley throws herself against her and forms a brawl in the ring with Dolph, Roode and Street Profits.
Before the start of the first fight of the night, it is announced that next week’s SmackDown show will be in retro style.

Bianca Belair and The Street Profits vs. Bayley, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode
The encounter begins with Bayley and Bianca hitting each other until Bayley knocks her down and takes the initiative. Dolph and Roode enter the ring but Ford and Angelo throw it out of the ring and then Bianca does the same with Bayley. Ford throws himself over the third rope on Dolph and Roode while Bayley throws Bianca against the metal steps. Back in the ring, Ziggler takes control of Ford after applying a Superkick to him.
Tag for Roode who applies a DDT to Ford and the count remains at 2. Roode argues with the referee and Bayley takes the opportunity to hit Ford. Dolph’s dominance continues until Ford takes over from Angelo to attack Dolph and Roode with everything. Belair hits Roode with her ponytail for Ford to take over and apply a Splash from the corner followed by the count to win the fight.
Winners: Bianca Belair and The Street Profits via pinfall.
Daniel Bryan is interviewed by Kayla Braxton and asked about her match tonight. Bryan says that he is very excited and confident to defeat Roman Reigns and win the Universal Championship. Bryan says that when he wins the title, his first defense will not be against Reigns, but against Cesaro.
Seth Rollins appears backstage and laughs at Daniel Bryan’s words about Cesaro. Seth says that next week Cesaro will not be on the show because he will take care of it and therefore he will never have that opportunity in case Bryan wins tonight. Rollins ends up challenging Cesaro to a Wrestlemania rematch next week.
Women’s Tag Team champions Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, accompanied by Reginald, are backstage when they are interviewed by Megan Morrant. Both ask for respect on Smackdown just as they have on RAW but Natalya and Tamina attack them from behind.

Non-title match
Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax vs. Tamina and Natalya
The fight begins and Tamina hits Nia against her corner to apply a Superkick. Natalya throws Shayna out of the ring and Tamina looks for a Splash from the corner but Nia reverses. The champions focus on exchanging tags and repeatedly attack Tamina.
The dominance of the champions continues and Tamina reverses the situation after applying a Powerslam to Shayna. Natalya enters the match and hits Shayna with a Clothesline followed by the count remaining at 2.
Natalya’s German Suplex but Shayna knees Natalya while Nia takes over. Nia throws herself against the cornerback but Natalya takes off. Superkick from Tamina to Nia and go up to the corner. Reginald tries to distract her but Natalya hits him and Shayna throws her on the commentary table. Shayna takes over and Tamina hits her to apply a Splash from the corner and win the fight.
Winners: Tamina and Natalya via pinfall.
WWE Hall of Fame member Booker T sends a video from his home saying that his prediction for the Universal Championship match is that Roman Reigns retains the title.
Shinshuke Nakamura says that he does not have a clear prediction, but adds that if Reigns wins, he will challenge him, and this time he will not be defeated.
Kayla Braxton interviews Dominik and Rey Mysterio. Kayle tells them that after their recent victories they could get a shot at the Smackdown Tag Team Championships.
Dominik says that they deserve it above any team and Rey ends by saying that as soon as they have that opportunity, they will be the first couple champions as father and son.
A promo of Aleister Black is broadcast where he talks about the truth. Aleister tells how bad he had it at his graduation party and gets upset until he ends up closing the book he was reading.
Megan Morrant interviews Big E in gorilla position just before their Intercontinental Championship match. Big E says that he learned from what happened at Wrestlemania and that for example, he doesn’t need anyone to cover his back. He ends by saying that tonight he will regain the title that belongs to him.

Intercontinental Championship
Apollo Crews (c) accompanied by Azeez vs. Big E
The combat begins with Apollo trying to take the initiative but it is Big E who begins controlling the encounter. Big E leaves the ring and places Apollo on the apron to get into it and launch himself through a Splash on Apollo. Big E looks for the count and remains at 2. Apollo manages to reverse the match by throwing Big E over the ropes and applying a Chloteslam.
Apollo places Big E on the apron and sucks him out of the ring. After commercials, Apollo throws himself from the corner on Big E, but intercepts him and applies a German Suplex that Apollo reverses and throws Big E out of the ring to launch himself on him through a Moonsault from the apron.
Back in the ring, Big E knocks Apollo down and applies a Splash followed by the count remaining at 2. Big E prepares the Big Ending but Apollo reverses with a Punt Kick and the count remaining at 2.
Apollo launches himself on Big E but this knocks him down and tries to apply a Spear but Apollo hits him with a knee and applies a Death Valley Driver on the apron of the ring, followed by a Splash from the corner and the count that remains at 2. Big E impresses Apollo with the Big Ending and looks for the count, but Azeez takes Big E out of the ring and hits him! The referee stops the bout.
Winner: Big E via disqualification. Apollo Crews RETAINS the Intercontinental Championship.
Azeez enters the ring to see the status of Apollo and Kevin Owens appears! Owens attacks Azeez with everything but he prevails until Big E enters the ring and they manage to balance the forces but Sami Zayn appears and applies the Helluva Kick to Owens!
Azeez punches Big E as Sami grabs the Intercontinental Championship and watches him until he hands it over to Apollo. Sami wants to celebrate with the champion but finally, Azeez ends up hitting him.
A video of The New Day is broadcast showing his support for Daniel Bryan but they end up saying that Roman Reigns will retain it due to the help of his cousin. The Miz’s turn predicting Roman Reigns will win due to him being one of the most powerful and dominant Superstars in WWE.
Cesaro’s turn, who claims he wants Daniel Bryan to win tonight and trusts him. He adds that after Bryan’s victory, he will defeat him at Wrestlemania Backlash. Cesaro ends up accepting the challenge proposed by Seth Rollins and both will meet next week.
Kayla Braxton interviews Paul Heyman and asks him about tonight’s match. Heyman says Bryan snuck into the Wrestlemania main event and failed to defeat Reigns. Heyman mocks Bryan and adds that Reigns will carry on with his legacy tonight. He finally ends up stating that Daniel Bryan has no option to defeat Reigns tonight.
It is made official that next week, Seth Rollins will face Cesaro in a Wrestlemania rematch match.
Daniel Bryan makes his entrance into the ring to a great reception from the fans present at the Thunderdome. After him, the Universal champion Roman Reigns accompanied by Paul Heyman, premiering a new song for his entrance.

Universal Championship
Roman Reigns (c) vs. Daniel Bryan
The fight begins and Bryan applies a Running Knee to Reigns followed by kicks in the corner but Reigns reverses by knocking down Bryan. Quickly Bryan looks for the Yes Lock but Reigns leaves the ring.
Bryan immediately throws himself at him with a knee. After commercials, Bryan repeatedly kicks Reigns in the corner and applies two Running Dropkicks until Reigns reverses with a Clothesline. Reigns go on to dominate the match. Bryan tries to reverse but Reigns knocks him down again and looks for the count that remains at 2.
Bryan hits Reigns with several Uppercuts and he throws himself on Bryan to the corner but moves away and Reigns runs into the corner. Bryan raises Reigns to the third rope from the corner and hits him but Reigns elbows him to apply a Powerbomb followed by the count that remains at 2.
After the commercials, they both hit each other out of the ring until Reigns throws Bryan over the barricade and immediately throws him into the ring. Reigns’ dominance continues.
Bryan climbs to the third rope from the corner with Reigns and knocks him down to hit the ropes. Then Bryan applies a Back Suplerplex to Reigns followed by the count that remains at 2. Bryan dominates with kicks in the center of the ring to Reigns until he reverses with the Samoan Drop and the count that remains at 2.
Reigns try to apply a Superman Punch but Bryan hits him with a kick and punishes Reigns’ right arm with locks and blows. Bryan throws Reigns out of the ring and launches with a Suicide Dive but Reigns intercepts him and applies a Back Suplex. Reigns try to apply a Spear to Bryan but he moves away and Reigns destroys the barricade.
After commercials, Bryan launches with a Headbutt from the corner, and immediately afterward Reigns applies the Superman Punch followed by the count that remains at 2. Bryan’s Running Knee on Reigns is saved by putting a foot on the rope. Bryan applies the Yes Lock to Reigns who breaks free and applies the Spear to Bryan.
Reigns looking for the count … 1 … 2 … hold on Bryan! Reigns applies a lock to Bryan’s head but he frees himself and applies an Ambar to Reigns that transforms into the Yes Lock. Reigns manage to free himself and repeatedly hits Bryan followed by a Powerbomb. Reigns throw himself on Bryan again, hitting him with repeated elbows, and applies a new Powerbomb. Reigns applies the Guillotine to Bryan and is stunned. The referee ends the fight.

Winner and STILL Universal Champion: Roman Reigns via surrender.
With this result of the fight, Daniel Bryan must leave Smackdown forever.
After the fight, Reigns wants to attack Bryan with a chair, but Cesaro appears! Uppercut on Reigns and throws him out of the ring to knock him over the barricade. Cesaro throws Reigns into the ring but Jey Uso appears!
Superkick on Cesaro and throws him into the ring to tie him with the ring ropes while watching as Reigns places a chair under Bryan’s head and ends up hitting him with another chair. Finally, Reigns celebrates with the Universal Championship as he retires alongside Heyman and Jey, watching Cesaro tending to Bryan’s condition and looking defiantly at Reigns.
