Patna, May 01 (UNI) Bihar government today handed over the responsibilities of chief secretary to the senior Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer Tripurari Sharan and transferred six other IAS officers.
According to the notification IAS officer, Tripurari Sharan of the 1985 batch has been made the chief secretary of Bihar after the post fell vacant following the demise of senior IAS officer of 1985 batch Arun Kumar Singh on Friday due to coronavirus infection.
Mr Sharan presently was chairman cum member of Revenue Council and his superannuation is due in June this year. Mr Sharan was also director of the Indian film and Television Institute (FTII).
According to the notification IAS officer of the 1986 batch, Sanjiv Kumar Sinha has been transferred from the post of the chief investigating officer to the revenue Council as its chairman cum member. IAS officer Sudhir Kumar has been shifted to the post of the chief investigating officer.
IAS officer of 1989 batch Vandana Kini has been transferred from Bhagalpur Divisional Commissioner to the post of additional chief secretary labour resources department. She has been given additional charges of additional chief secretary for art, culture and youth department.
Mihir Kumar Singh of 1993 batch has been transferred to the post of Divisional Commissioner from the post of principal secretary labour resources department.
The notification further said that the IAS officer of 2000 batch Prem Singh Meena has been made Bhagalpur Divisional Commissioner. He has been given additional charges of Munger Divisional Commissioner.
Thiruth Divisional Commissioner Manish Kumar of 2005 batch who was also holding the charges offers Darbhanga Divisional Commissioner has been made commissioner Darbhanga division.
