Anna University extends last date for applying for affiliation

CHENNAI: Anna University on Friday extended till May 13 the last date for submitting online applications for affiliation.
The university said change of course and intake would not be permitted after the last date under any circumstances.
More than 500 engineering colleges, stand alone MBA, MCA colleges and architecture colleges have applied for affiliation.
Usually, the university winds up the affiliation process by May 15. Due to Covid-19, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) extended the deadline till July 15 to give affiliation for universities.
"The university is giving more time to colleges due to the extension given by the AICTE," sources said.
Before the Covid-19 second wave, the university had announced that it would conduct physical inspection of colleges before giving affiliation.
