Bihar Government rejigs 7 IAS, Tripurari Sharan assumes as Chief Secretary of the State

Tripurari Sharan to be the new Chief Secretary of Bihar, after Arun Kumar Singh, the earlier Chief Secretary, succumbed to death due to Covid on Friday.

The Government of Bihar, on Saturday announced a transfer order of 7 IAS officers in view of the ongoing Covid crisis. In the order, senior IAS officer of 1985 batch, Tripurari Sharan has been announced the Chief Secretary of the state. Sharan is to replace Arun Kumar Singh, who recently succumbed to death due to Covid 19 last Friday.

Sharan was serving as Additional Chief Secretary to the Bihar Government and also remained Director at FTI earlier. He is subject to superannuation this June. Besides him, the state Government also issued transfer orders of Manish Kumar as Commissioner, Darbhanga. Similarly, Prem singh Meena has been given charges of Commissioner of Bhagalpur besides additional charges Munger Commissionarate.
