Zirakpur: The police booked a youth for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl in Dhakoli here on Friday. The victim’s mother stated that the incident took place around 4 pm when she was cleaning dormitories. Her daughter went to the toilet where an unidentified youth sexually assaulted her. When she went looking for her, the youth pushed the victim and fled from the spot. The police have registered a case under Section 376 of the IPC and Section 4 of the POCSO Act at the Dhakoli police station and initiated investigations into the matter. — TNS
