Karimnagar: Former NSUI Karimnagar District President and Praja Arogya Parirakshana Sangam leader Thipparapu Sampath climbed a cellphone tower in the city of Huzurabad on Saturday and threatened to jump if no action was taken against local MLA Eatala Rajender.
Referring to Rajender’s remarks that he would stay away from active politics if he harassed a single person in his constituency of Huzurabad, Sampath said he was a victim of Rajender’s harassment and demanded that he keep his word and politics end.
According to Sampath, Rajender had illegal cases registered against him because in 2018 he investigated his illegal properties. He asked the government to drop a false case against him.
After learning of the incident, Huzurabad SI rushed Srinu Naik, along with the police force, to the scene and tried to persuade Sampath to withdraw his protest. However, he refused to come down.
