You're 50, still single, no family
You thought you were so clever by not getting married or starting a family
All the relationship-worthy women were taken long ago while you were convincing yourself that staying single was the smartest choice
Now you're 50 and still single
Most other people your age have established their own families
A man your age with no family doesn't really matter
You're on the fringe of society and if you were to disappear nobody would really care since you have no familial responsibilities
You take up token hobbies that single middle aged men do to cope with still being single
You're still smugly trying to make yourself believe you somehow beat the system, citing divorce statistics or how much money you've saved as your refuge
But another night falls and you go to bed alone once again, knowing your macho lone wolf persona is a sham, and in reality you're nobody significant to anybody else
