Noida: Three people, including an anaesthetist working with the Lal Bahadur Shashtri hospital in Delhi, were arrested on Friday by the crime branch of Noida police for alleged black marketing of Remdesivir injection. This is the third such case of black marketing of the crucial drug in Noida. The accused identified as Dr Nishrat Imam, Hamza Rehman and Mujibur Rehman were arrested from the road between Sumitra hospital and Abode office following a tip off. While Imam works in Lal Bahadur Shastri Hospital in Delhi, Hamza runs a money transfer shop in Ghaziabad, and Mujibur works at a pharmacy in Noida. DCP (crime) Abhishek Singh said that they would then sell it for Rs 35,000 per vial and share the profit among themselves. So far, they have sold around a dozen injections. They are also looking for the fourth accused in the case who works as a lab technician with LBS hospital and was also involved in sourcing the injections.
