Kolkata, May 1 (UNI) Ahead of the counting of Bengal assembly elections
results, Bollywood star turned BJP leader Mithun Chakraborty on Sunday called on governor Jagdeep Dhankar at his Raj Bhawan office here and stayed there for some time.
The counting for the 292 seats for which the polling was held in the
eight phases from March 27 to April 29, will be held on Monday ( May 2) from 8 am onwards.
" I spent some time with the Governor and had tea together,"
73-year-old Chakraborty told the waiting media persons
at the exit point of Raj Bhawan.
" I had a blackout for which the governor wanted to know about my
health and that time I said to him that I would
call him after the election is over," Chakraborty told the reporters.
" It was a courtesy call and we had tea together with the governor'
Chakraborty said as he rejected any suggestion
if any political or surging corona related talks he had in the Rajbhavan.
In the last phase of electioneering, Mithun Chakraborty felt dizzy and
had a blackout due to scorching sun, fatigue and
heat condition as he almost 4 weeks moved around the districts and
held roadshows for the BJP candidates.
