Gayle hit RCB’s fast bowler Kyle Jamieson for five 4’s in a over. In process the biggest T20 legend has achieved a big landmark in IPL. He completed 400 boundaries in the IPL, the tenth batsman to achieve the landmark.
Gayle vs Jamieson: On Friday, he smashed 5 boundaries in an over including 3 consecutive fours off Jamieson. There was no stopping him in the over as he went all across the ground- extra cover, mid-wicket, and long-on.
Gayle vs Jamieson: In the match, Gayle went on to score 46 runs off just 24 balls with the help of 6 fours and 2 sixes.
In IPL 2021, so far he has amassed 164 runs in 7 innings. He also shared a crucial partnership with KL Rahul for the 2nd wicket.

IPL most fours: It is notable that DC’s Shikhar Dhawan has smashed most fours in the history of IPL. He has smashed 628 fours in 183 matches. SRH’s David Warner and RCB’s Virat Kohli are placed 2nd and 3rd in the list with 525 fours and 521 boundaries respectively. Chris Gayle has jumped to the top 10 in the IPL most fours list.
