Khammam: A special officer has been appointed and control rooms have been set up to assist the public Covid-related queries, said Bhadradri-Kothagudem collector MV Reddy.
The Collector held a teleconference here on Friday with district and mandal officials to review the report Covid situation in the district. He said a senior doctor, Sujatha, had been appointed as the special officer to monitor 22 private hospitals expanding. Covid-19 treatment.
Treatment reports should be submitted daily to private hospitals, and steps should be taken to provide emergency care at both private and government hospitals, as about 10% of cases require inpatient services, he said. Mobile numbers of the doctors concerned in the state hospitals Kothagudem, Manugur, Bhadrachalam and Aswaraopet should be made available to the public so that they can seek help in emergencies.
Health officials must ensure adequate oxygen supply at state hospitals in Kothagudem, Yellandu, Manugur, Bhadrachalam and Aswaraopet, designated as Covid care centers. Similar measures should be taken at SCCL, ITC and private hospitals, he said.
The collector emphasized the need to inject sodium hypochlorite fluid Covid hotspots. Fines should be imposed on those who fail to wear masks and come out of the quarantine of the home.
