The second wave of Coronavirus has caused havoc in India. Whether it is Delhi, Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh or West Bengal, there is panic everywhere. There is a shortage of beds in hospitals, people are not getting oxygen and COVID-19 cases are surging with every passing day. Amid the scarcity of Covid-19 resources in the entire country, the central govt has announced the third stage of vaccination for people between 18-44 years of age, for which registration has also started.
Vaccination is considered an effective weapon to fight against the coronavirus.
But before vaccinating, several states have backed out of the vaccination drive due to vaccine shortage.
Many states including Delhi, Maharashtra, Rajasthan have expressed their inability to start a new vaccination campaign from May 1. Not only the states of the opposition parties, but the Bharatiya Janata Party-ruled states have done the same.
After Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, now even Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, have refused to start the third stage of vaccination. These states say that they do not have enough vaccine stock. At the same time, Delhi, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu have also announced this before.
