Nifty IT Index was steady amid overall bearish markets. The Index was marginally higher led by gains from
Wipro Limited and
Oracle Financial Services Software Limited.
At around 2.00 pm, Nifty IT was trading at 25,962.15
up 87.85
points or 0.34
%, touching a high of 26,154.30
and low of 25,759.10 during intraday trade on Friday.
Oracle continued the winning streak to surge 2.12% at Rs3,543.00 per piece on Friday.
Wipro was also nearly 2% higher at Rs499.50 per piece. The company revised its IT services revenue guidance to $2,324-$2,367 million for April-June quarter of FY22, which translates to a sequential growth of 8-10 per cent. The revision in guidance comes on the back of completion of Capco deal.
Coforge also advanced 1.7% at Rs2,893.40 per piece to lift the performance of the sector yet again.
Mindtree also gained 1.13%. Larsen & Turbo Infotech rallied to trade 0.75% higher after being in the negative zone for the most part of the week. Infosys also was 0.71% on the upside.
Tech Mahindra and
TCS continued to struggle while HCL Tech also continued the bumpy ride. Tech Mahindra shed 0.7% at Rs970.10 per piece. TCS dropped 0.6% at Rs3,096.30 per piece. HCL was down 0.23% while Mphasis traded flat.
