Nizamabad: Polls to the 18th ward in Bodhan municipality were kept peaceful on Friday and according to officials, the percentage was 75.79. Out of 1,582 voters, 1,199 voters cast their ballots. The by-pole was essential after the death of councilor M Gunaprasad due to Covid-19. He was the leader of the TRS in Bodhan Municipality.
Karolla Gangaram of TRS, Pedda Lalaiah of BJP, Madri Padma of MIM and C. Pramod Kumar of Congress were locked up in the multiple corner contest in this ward. The additional collector of Nizamabad, Latha, oversaw the election and spoke to officials and voters about the facilities. In addition to stray incidents, the by-elections were held peacefully.
