HYDERABAD: Task force sleuths busted a gang of vehicle lifters in Hyderabad and recovered 10 stolen motorbikes worth Rs 15 lakh from their possession. The South Zone task force team along with Meerpet police arrested Uttam Kumar (20), a student and Sandeep Kumar (20), a worker of an online grocery store, following a tip-off. The accused became friends while working for the grocery delivery company. As they were interested in high-speed bikes, the accused hatched a plan to commit thefts of two wheelers to fulfill their wish of street racing. "As per the plan, the accused committed theft of bikes parked on the roads at Meerpet, LB Nagar, Medipally and Saroornagar areas of Rachakonda commissionerate during the past few months," a police officer said.
