ICC Rankings – Virat Kohli’s Indian Test Team to finish No. 1 in Annual Updated List: In a great recognition for the Indian test team, Virat Kohli’s team India will be named as No. 1 Test side as ICC will release its annual updated list on May 1st. New Zealand will take the No. 2 spot, while England & Australia will finish the cycle as No. 3 & No. 4 spot.
ICC Rankings – India No. 1 Test Team: India registered a comfortable 3-1 victory in the Test series against England and topped the ICC Test rankings with 120 points, two points ahead of New Zealand. Before that, India created history by retaining the Border-Gavaskar Trophy with a historic 2-1 Test series victory in Australia.
However, England will reclaim the No 3 spot, replacing Australia, who are currently 3rd with 113 points. Australia will lose 4.89 points while England will gain 3.14 points to exchange their places. However, in ICC ODI rankings, India will slip to 3rd spot.

India is due to play New Zealand in the World Test Championship final in June. If Kohli’s team can win the finals as well, India can further extend their lead at the top.
Meanwhile, West Indies, currently 8th on the Test rankings table, have been assured of a place in the top 6. It will be the first time since 2002 that West Indies will enter the Top 6. As for Pakistan, if they manage to beat Zimbabwe, they will enter the Top 5 rankings.
ICC Rankings – India to slip to 3rd in ODI rankings
However, in the ODI rankings, India will drop a place to be 3rd. Currently, ranked 2nd in ODIs with 119 points, will lose 3.69 rating points, despite winning the ODI series against England 2-1. Instead, Australia will occupy the 2nd spot while New Zealand will zoom to 1st spot with their comprehensive series win against Bangladesh.
It will be the first time that New Zealand will take the No 1 spot in ODIs. Currently, NZ are 3rd with 118 points and will gain 2.79 points to climb to the No 1 position. England with their loss to India are still top of the rankings table but will lose 6.12 points slip to 4th spot
Australia will gain 6.55 points to take the tally to 117.55 and will occupy the 2nd spot ahead of India. As for Pakistan, despite winning the ODI series against South Africa will lose 5.05 points to be 6th on the ICC ODI Rankings.
