CHENNAI: GiveIndia has ramped up its efforts to help people suffering from the impact of Covid-19, both directly and indirectly.
It has re-initiated a Covid response fund to provide life-saving equipment such as oxygen concentrators and cylinder, help with supplies of N95 masks, PPE kits, 3ply masks, bedsheets, hand sanitisers and other resources for critical patients and healthcare workers in hospitals and Covid care centres.
The funds raised will be allocated to donate food to families fighting hunger in the Covid-19 second wave and provide underprivileged women with reusable sanitary napkins.
GiveIndia's Covid funds will also be used to increase the vaccination and testing capacity across the country, in addition to providing cash relief for the families of the deceased.
GiveIndia's campaign to boost oxygen supply has raised Rs 6.45 crore with support from close to 7k + donors as of April 27, 2021. Its campaigns for feeding families struggling with hunger and for safe periods for women have raised Rs 1.32 crore and Rs 35 lakh respectively.
