Rohit Sardana, well-known television anchor, passed away on Friday. He reportedly died of a heart attack. He had also tested positive for Covid roughly a week before demise.

The untimely death of Sardana came as a major shock to the media community at large.

Sardana had joined Aaj Tak in 2017 after he left . He was a senior journalist and one of the most popular Hindi anchors in the country.

Sardana was a recipient of the 2018 Ganesh Vidyarthi Puraskar Award. He was among the most popular faces of TV news journalism in India.

Sardana was the host of Dangal, a debate show, on Aaj Tak.

Earlier, he used to host 'Taal Thok Ke', a popular debate show on Zee news.

He also formerly worked with the ETV Network and Akashvani.
