TIM to bring FTTH to Ragusa and Rende in EUR 10 mln build

Telecom Italia (TIM) announced plans to expand its fibre-to-the-home network to the southern cities of Ragusa in Sicily and Rende in Calabria in a total investment of EUR 10 million. The deployment will eventually enable residents in around 24,500 homes in Ragusa and 11,000 in Rende to access the internet at download speeds of up to 1 Gbps, TIM's existing FTTC network in Ragusa and Rende covers around 30,000 and 13,500 homes, equivalent to 94 and 97 percent of the local lines respectively.
